    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 30th September - 4th October 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...eturn-details/

Coronation Street teases Damon Hay's return to the show next week.

Ciar?n Griffiths, who plays Damon, was recently tipped for a comeback when he was spotted back on the set of the long-running soap.

Next week, Damon gets an on-screen mention as Adam Barlow makes an unexpected discovery.

Adam's estranged wife Sarah gets in contact with him from Turkey, where she's supporting her daughter Bethany.

Viewers have just seen Bethany's big new storyline begin, as Monday's episode (September 23) revealed that she'd been admitted to intensive care in a Turkish hospital.

There'd been complications when Bethany decided to undergo liposuction at the cosmetic surgery clinic she was visiting to research an advertorial feature.

Next week, Sarah waits to hear back from a loan company as she desperately searches for ways to pay off Bethany's medical bills.

Sarah is unable to access her voicemail from Turkey, so she asks Adam to check her messages for her.

As Adam listens in, he gets much more than he bargained for when he finds one from her ex-lover Damon.

Will Adam tell Sarah this, or let his jealousy get the better of him again by concealing the information?

Earlier this year, Damon received a six-year prison sentence for his involvement in an armed robbery, which had been masterminded by his brother Harvey Gaskell.

The bad boy is expected to feature in jail-based scenes when he makes his comeback.

In real life, Ciar?n Griffiths is based in Australia with his family but has travelled to the UK for Corrie filming commitments during his guest stints since 2022.

Coronation Street will air the voicemail scenes on Monday, September 30.

Coronation Street airs an unexpected ending for Joel Deering's storyline next week.

DS Swain announces Joel's death after unearthing some troubling evidence, although Dee-Dee Bailey fears that everything is not as it seems.

Viewers recently saw Joel get arrested after DS Swain's daughter Betsy provided the crucial evidence to bring him to justice for his crimes.

Joel has been released on bail for the time being, but his behaviour becomes increasingly erratic this week as Lauren Bolton's tracker app shows him spending considerable amounts of time in a field and industrial park.

The villain also pays a menacing visit to Roy Cropper's caf?, scaring the fan favourite when he turns up drunk and locks the door behind him.

Next week, Dee-Dee alerts DS Swain to a strange voice message that she has received from Joel. Swain points out that the message could be interpreted as a suicide note.

The police follow Joel's phone signal and pinpoint his last whereabouts. They find his car parked on a bridge, with a folded note left on the dashboard.

Before long, Swain announces that the police are looking for Joel's body, as he appears to have taken his own life.

Later in the week, Dee-Dee carries out some leftover errands from her ill-fated engagement to Joel.

She's intrigued when she phones the wedding venue and holiday company, who both confirm that Joel already recouped their deposits. Dee-Dee passes this information onto police detective Kit Green.

During her next visit to the police station, Dee-Dee crosses paths with Joel's grieving father.

Dee-Dee voices her growing belief that Joel isn't really dead and he went on the run to escape justice.

DS Swain is unimpressed and steps in, warning Dee-Dee to stop coming up with wild theories and accept that Joel is dead. Will Dee-Dee listen?

Coronation Street will air these scenes on Monday, September 30, Wednesday, October 2 and Friday, October 4.
