Reiss Colwell realises the game could be up

Reiss Colwell is hiding a deadly secret as he smothered his comatose wife Debbie Colwell! Stroke victim Debbie had been in long-term care for years and Reiss had been loyally looking after her but heavy debts turned the accountant into a killer...

Reiss was unable to pay her care home fees after getting into serious debt funding girlfriend Sonia Fowler's IVF attempts. After trying to fix the trouble he was in by persuading Sharon Watts to 'invest' some of her and Phil Mitchell's business money in fake scheme, he soon realised he was in too deep.

Sneaking into the care home, he ended Debbie's life before quietly slipping out again, not realising that Sonia had been seen visiting Debbie earlier that evening.

After Debbie's death was discovered, the police were called in and a post-mortem was arranged. Sonia is surprised at how stressed Reiss is about the post-mortem results, assuring him that it's a routine procedure.

In the cafe, Eve Unwin spots Reiss holding Debbie's old wedding ring and shares her commiserations.

Desperately hoping that he and Sonia can move on with their life, Reiss is left shaken when Phil insists he wants a return on the investment scheme in 24 hours or he's toast...

Suki Panesar meets up with son Vinny Panesar to discuss their scheme to fleece Suki's killer ex Nish Panesar for everything he's got. After revealing he's not got long to live, Nish has managed to worm his way back into the family despite being thrown out for viciously attacking Suki.

Although Suki and Vinny are making out that they've forgiven him, they're secretly plotting to get his cash but master manipulator Nish is way ahead of them.

After enlisting granddaughter Avani Nandra-Hart's help in tracking down an 'old friend' of Suki's online, Nish interrupts Suki and Vinny's lunch with a surprise guest...

Suki is gobsmacked to see her one-time crush Ayesha, the woman she fell in love with and whose husband Hardeep was murdered by a jealous Nish.

Ayesha lays into Nish for killing Hardeep before running out of the restaurant in a state. A concerned Suki follows Ayesha and takes her to have a heart-to-heart.

When Suki brings Ayesha to The Vic to have a drink with her and Eve, a gloating Nish plots to meddle and make Eve jealous.

Linda Carter is already having a massive wobble about Dean Wicks' upcoming trial, as Linda and her co-conspirators in Keanu Taylor's murder fitted Dean up for the crime.

After lying to the police that she saw Dean dragging a body wrapped in a tarpaulin into the cafe on that fateful night, Linda's claim is now the main evidence against him. Despite putting on a convincing act to the police, she's not sure if she can keep up the pretence under questioning in court.

When Linda is approached by a guy called Fraser she's in shock after he reveals that he's a contact of Dean's and has a deal for her. Mum Elaine Peacock chucks out Fraser but Linda is tempted, seriously worrying her lawyer son Johnny Carter.

What has Dean offered her?

Also, Cindy Beale tries to make secret lover Junior Knight jealous by agreeing to a drink with another man...


Tuesday

Eve Unwin makes a decision about her future

Eve Unwin has fallen right into Nish Panesar's trap and she's questioning girlfriend Suki Panesar's loyalty to her. A scheming Nish tracked down Suki's old love Ayesha and brought her to Albert Square in a deliberate bid to derail Suki and Eve's relationship.

Irritated that Suki is all over Ayesha and talking about what an amazing person she is, Eve hides her jealousy. When Suki has a proper heart-to-heart with her girlfriend about what happened between her and Ayesha all those years ago, Eve softens.

Still feeling uncomfortable about the situation, she talks to best mate Stacey Slater about her concerns. When Stacey points out that Nish has had a hand in all of this and is manipulating things, the penny drops for Eve.

After a chat with Reiss, Eve makes a decision and heads to the Queen Vic to find Suki, who is stunned as she proposes to her in front of all their friends and family!

What will Suki say?

Linda Carter has well and truly fallen off the wagon again as Dean Wicks' trial for the murder of Keanu Taylor approaches. Linda was the real culprit, stabbing Keanu while he was trying to strangle Sharon Watts and covering it up with the help of her friends.

After fitting up her rapist Dean for the murder, Linda has been forced to maintain a lie and she's been turning to the booze to bury her anxieties.

When she wakes up with a massive hangover, mum Elaine Peacock reminds her that Linda's little girl Annie has dentist appointment.

When Elaine offers to take Annie instead, Linda insists she'll take her, but she's dealt another blow when the dentist tells her that Annie's dental care has slipped.

Still plagued by thoughts of the trial, Linda asks copper Jack Branning for advice.

What is she contemplating?

Cindy Beale's planned afternoon of illicit passion with Junior Knight is set to be derailed when Peter Beale needs her to look after the pie shop.

Determined not to miss a moment with Junior while partner Ian Beale is out of the Square, Cindy thinks on her feet and promotes a hapless Bobby Beale to manager!

While Cindy and Junior are ripping their clothes off back at No.45, an unwitting Bobby is struggling to look after Beale's Eels and failing miserably.

Linda Carter is left in terror when she uncovers something sinister

Linda Carter has been all over the place ever since she was talking into lying that she'd seen Dean Wicks dragging a body in a tarpaulin into the burned out cafe at Christmas.

After Keanu Taylor's body was found buried under concrete in the cafe, it looked like it was game over for Linda, who stabbed Keanu with a meat thermometer while he was strangling his bride Sharon Watts.

Linda, Sharon and the four other women present at the scene of the crime tried to cover it up to keep them all out of prison. When the opportunity arose to fit up rapist Dean Wicks for the murder, they quickly took it but the case all hinges on Linda's fake statement to the police.

With an alcoholic Linda now hitting the booze hard, things are looking extremely dicey but something happens that could change everything...

While Linda is bottling up at the Queen Vic she makes a horrifying discovery.

What could it be?

Bobby Beale has been left in charge of pie shop Beale's Eels by Cindy Beale, who has snuck off for an afternoon of passion with her secret lover Junior Knight!

Never having run the place before, Bobby is struggling and even with the help of his barmaid girlfriend Anna Knight things are quickly turning into chaos.

Will Cindy be forced to intervene?

Nish Panesar really is a piece of work as he has no shame in using his grandkids in his scheming!

After getting granddaughter Avani Nandra-Hart to help him track down a face from ex Suki Panesar's past to cause trouble, he turns to Avani's brother Nugget Gulati to continue his manipulations.

Nugget has always had a soft spot for his granddad, especially since Nish's diagnosis of a terminal condition... and Nish knows it!

After Nugget approaches him for a heart-to-heart, Nish tells his grandson that his biggest wish is to have Suki by his side when he dies.

Also, Freddie Slater knows his nan Mo Harris is missing Stevie Mitchell and he tries to get Stevie's son Teddy Mitchell to tell him where he's at.

Linda Carter is terrified by anonymous threats

Linda Carter is stunned after finding a blackmail letter in the pub and she hurriedly tells her son Johnny Carter.

She's in a total panic that someone knows the truth that she fitted Dean Wicks up for Keanu Taylor's murder and the whole house of cards will come tumbling down.

Johnny does his best to calm his mum down and he summons two of the other conspirators in Keanu's death, Denise Fox and Sharon Watts, to tell them about Linda's sinister discovery.

When Linda finds a second letter in the Vic she has a complete meltdown and starts wildly throwing accusations around much to the shock of the punters.

Pulling his mum upstairs, Johnny tells her that she needs to get a grip or else risk the truth getting out.

Meanwhile, the poison pen letter writer is visiting Dean in prison...

Who could it be?

Freddie Slater knows his nan Mo Harris is feeling down and in a bid to cheer her up, he arranges a bird watching expedition in the Square!

When Anna Knight spots them having fun, she joins in, as she's been stood up by her boyfriend Bobby Beale.

It's more than clear to Mo that there's a real spark between them. Since Freddie and Anna's drunken one-night-stand, Anna has been dating a besotted Bobby and although Freddie is sweet on Anna, he's been keen not to tread on his mate's toes.

When Mo makes a pointed comment, it gets Anna thinking...

Bobby Beale has managed to step up to the plate as acting manager at Beale's Eels, a job that was landed on him by Cindy Beale for her own secret reasons!

Claiming she has a migraine, Cindy tells a suspicious Bobby that she needs to go and rest up at home.

Back at No.45, Cindy's secret lover Junior Knight arrives, ready for another afternoon of passion.

Little do they know that Bobby has followed Cindy home...

EastEnders has introduced a sinister blackmail plot for Linda Carter, as Dean Wicks? murder trial approaches.

Linda has recently been struggling with her guilt surrounding her Christmas Day killing of Keanu Taylor and has begun drinking heavily again to help her cope.

She gave a false statement that led to Dean being charged with Keanu?s murder, but as he pleaded not guilty at last week?s hearing, a trial will be held in September.

Linda is worried about having to take the stand and the case falling apart at the trial, but she has been reassured by the likes of Sharon and Johnny.

In scenes that will air next week, things get a lot more complicated for Linda when she is confronted by a contact of Dean?s called Fraser, who offers her a mysterious deal ? the details of which are being kept secret for now.

Elaine gets involved and asks Fraser to leave, but his proposition has clearly resonated as Linda seems tempted to take the deal.

Johnny desperately tries to talk her out of the idea, convinced it is a mistake, before a conflicted Linda hits the bottle once again.

She wakes up hungover the next day, having forgotten about Annie?s dentist appointment, with Elaine left concerned about her daughter.

Linda gets defensive about her parenting when Elaine offers to take Annie to her appointment, but she is shocked to find out that her child?s dental care has deteriorated recently.

Linda asks Jack for advice on the upcoming trial, but later in the week she makes a shocking discovery when she finds a blackmail letter addressed to her.

She and Johnny try to find out who could have sent the letter, before Johnny later informs Denise and Sharon about a recent development.

Linda arrives home to a second letter, and as she is already struggling, this new blackmail plot tips her over the edge.

She loses control and causes a scene in The Vic, accusing several individuals of being the blackmailer.

Johnny calms his mum down and consoles her upstairs, as they work out what to do next. But what they don?t know is the mysterious blackmailer is currently visiting Dean in prison?

Who is blackmailing Linda, and what do they want?

Nish interrupts Suki and Vinny's lunch at Walford East and reveals the arrival of Ayesha ? the widow of Hardeep, who Nish killed 20 years ago. Suki is shocked, while Ayesha takes the opportunity to confront Nish for his sinister crime before running off.

Suki and Ayesha head back to No.41 to chat and later catch up further over a drink at The Vic. Nish spots his next opportunity to meddle by making a comment to Eve about Suki and Ayesha's close bond.

Meanwhile, Reiss continues to worry about what the post-mortem results will show. Later, Reiss' worries get worse when Phil demands a return on the fake investment scheme within 24 hours.

Elsewhere, Fraser ? a contact of Dean's ? turns up at The Vic to offer Linda a deal. Linda admits to Johnny that she's considering accepting the deal, but Johnny urges her not to.

Also today, Cindy tries to make Junior jealous by having a drink with Harry in The Vic.

Eve becomes insecure over Suki and Ayesha's connection. She confides in Stacey, who points out that Nish is manipulating the situation to cause trouble.

Later, Eve takes matters into her own hands by proposing to Suki in front of Ayesha, Stacey and the Panesars.

Meanwhile, Reiss lies to Sonia again as he doesn't have the money to pay Phil.

Elsewhere, Cindy needs Bobby to help out at Beale's Eels so she can enjoy some time alone with Junior. She promotes Bobby to manager, but he's not up to the task.

Also today, a hungover Linda regrets being so distracted recently when Annie's dentist points out that her dental care has slipped.

Later, Linda arrives home and discovers that a second letter has arrived. She ends up losing control at The Vic and accusing various individuals of being behind her new torment.

The culprit who's sending the letters pays a visit to Dean at the jail, but who is it?

Meanwhile, Mo notices a spark between Freddie and Anna when they all spend time together. She intervenes by giving Anna food for thought.

Elsewhere, Bobby is suspicious when Cindy heads home early from Beale's Eels with the excuse that she has a migraine. Cindy heads upstairs with Junior at No.45, but Bobby arrives. Will they be caught out?
