ABC is reportedly planning to remake spy drama Spooks for US television.
Deadline reports that ABC Studios has finalised a deal for the rights to the show with production company Kudos.
The reboot has received a script order from the network, with Michael Seitzman being hired to write and executive produce a pilot.
ABC is apparently yet to decide whether the new series will focus on British or American agents.
The original Spooks has aired on BBC One since 2002, with a ninth series planned for broadcast later this year. The show has previously aired in the US, under the new title MI-5, on A&E, BBC America and PBS.
