Derek popped into the Diary Room this evening to say a few words in remembrance of the latest evictee, Lesley.
The speechwriter reflected on how much he missed the Huddersfield lass. He gave her stint in the House a glowing report, raving that she conducted herself with "enormous fortitude, dignity and style".
Derek acknowledged that it might come as a bit of a surprise that he had such a high opinion of Lesley.
The right-winger and the busty babe might not appear to have had much in common on the surface, but as he explained: "Boundaries don't matter, what matters is honesty and decency."
"I wish her great luck in the future and I hope it's not too long before we see each other again," he added hopefully.
He finished his tribute to Lesley by murmuring wistfully, "Thinking of you Lesley. Thinking of you."
